​Since the founding of Gamma Chi on April 3, 1948, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has supplied voice and vision to the struggle of African Americans Students and people of color on Pittsburg State University Campus. The founders of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Gamma Chi) were no ordinary achievers. Given racial attitudes in 1948,their accomplishments were monumental.
